Import, Export, Backup and Restore

Import, export, backup and restore your valuable information with ease.

The ability to import, export, backup, and restore your data is essential. Passfindr makes it easy.

Importing

When you first start with Passfindr, you may want to import your bookmarks from your current storage method. If this data is in a browser, you will need to download your data and create a file. This isn’t too difficult to do in most popular browsers. When downloaded, it will almost certainly be in .html format. Save it somewhere easy to find.

As for Passfindr, once you have this file stored on your computer, just click on the menu (the three line icon) and in the second category you will see “Import”. Click on it, it is defaulted to html so just hit “Browse”, find your file and hit the “Import” button. Passfindr will take it from there. Easy.

Exporting

Click on the menu (the three line icon) and in the second category you will see “Export”. Click on the export tab and enter a search term for the bookmarks you wish to export. Choose your desired file type. Then tell Passfindr where you want the files to go, a browser or, a file. Hit “Export items”. Done.

Backup

Click on the menu (the three line icon) and in the second category you will see “Backup”. You should back up your files regularly. With Passfindr it simply cannot be made easier. Click the “Backup” tab and then click “Download backup file”. It will ask you where to store it. Tell it where and you are finished. It takes a few seconds of your time to backup your data file. Please take the time.

Restore

Click on the menu (the three line icon) and in the second category you will see “Restore”. In the event you need to restore your files, go to the “Restore” tab. Click on it and then locate your backup file and click on it. Hit restore. In a few moments, you are back in business.
